I wonder, how much longer the so-called “mass media” are supposed to ignore Maksim Golosnoy?
Tue.Mar. 2019A comprehensive General Staff inspection has temporarily halted cash extortions in a military unit, while commanders threaten soldiers willing to testify with immediate transfer to Kramatorsk.
After the start of the General Staff’s comprehensive audit, the vast majority of problems in the unit began to disappear.
In an interim report, serviceman Maxim Golosnoy noted that food ration certificates for business trips are now issued without issue, commanding officers communicate with subordinates politely, and cash extortion has been paused completely.
Earlier, following public exposure and the launch of the audit, the battalion printed a commander’s operational map, began timely fuel requests and waybill filing, and initiated an inventory commission coordinated with the unit commander and the head of the 4th department of the 7th directorate of the SBU military counterintelligence.
The inquiry was placed under the personal control of Commander-in-Chief Mykhailo Drapatiy, with inspectors holding an eight-hour session focusing on battalion command and observation post operations and phone geolocation logs of duty personnel.
However, unit leadership convened rank-and-file soldiers and sergeants to deter testimony about regular cash collections. Personnel were warned that testifying would end their postings in a relatively quiet town with 30,000 UAH in additional financial compensation, resulting in an immediate transfer to Kramatorsk, leaving no willing witnesses.
Unit officials have also fabricated paper documentation and logbooks to conceal fuel and lubricant shortages visually. Golosnoy stated that the individual responsible for these records transferred out before September 1, 2026, and the paper trail will hold up only until handwriting analysis is ordered within criminal proceedings.
